Scotland-based aquaculture technology company Ace Aquatec has appointed Constanza Fontaine as the new Sales and Service Manager for Chile.

Fontaine brings over a decade of experience in aquaculture solutions, having previously held significant roles at ScaleAQ, Badinotti, and Akva Group Chile.

In her new role, she is set to spearhead the expansion of Ace Aquatec’s operations in a region experiencing a surge in demand for ethical aquaculture technologies, according to a release from the supplier.

This includes the promotion of the company’s Humane Stunning Universal (HSU) technology, which is already being utilized by major local salmon producers including AquaChile and the processor Abick.

Constanza’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance Ace Aquatec’s influence in Central and South America, leveraging her extensive experience and regional connections.

Tara McGregor-Woodhams, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Ace Aquatec, expressed enthusiasm about Constanza’s capabilities to drive the company’s mission in revolutionizing aquaculture technology across the Americas.

“We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team at an exciting point in time, both for us as a company and the sector more widely,” she said.

Ace Aquatec specializes in developing technology solutions that aim to make fish farming more efficient, ethical, and environmentally friendly. Their innovations include in-water electric stunners, underwater biomass cameras, and acoustic devices designed to protect marine environments.
