A floating dock at a shipyard in Denmark, has dramatically tilted with a fishing boat inside.

The dock in Hirtshals Harbour canted this morning with a Norwegian fishing ship inside, reported Danish media.

Norwegian news site Sysla confirmed that it was the fishing boat the “Hardhaus” originally from Austevoll, Norway, in the float dock.

“Yes, we’re down there now. We do not have so much details yet, but realise that the dock has slackened. We have no feedback as to whether things are under control, so we are afraid of the consequences, “said the “Hardhauss'” shipowner Inge Møgster.

The Norwegian fishing boat was in for a paint job and had been in the 82 meter long dock for a week and a half. It should be done next Wednesday.

“It’s a sad situation, of course, but now with uncertain consequences. We’ll see what’s happening throughout the day, but we’re worried, says Møgster.

According to the newspaper Nordjyske, there were no people inside when the accident occurred. Danish TV2 reported that it had taken in water and rolled to one side.

“We are trying to get to grips with the situation. We are working on getting the boat out now, “said Rasmus Brohus, CEO of Hirtshals Yard to the publication.
