Grieg Seafood appoints former Mowi exec as regional director for Newfoundland

Barlow will assume her new role on July 8, 2024.

Norwegian salmon producer Grieg Seafood has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Barlow as the new Regional Director of its Newfoundland operations. Barlow brings nearly thirty years of operational and management experience in the aquaculture industry and government.

“I am pleased to welcome Elizabeth Barlow as the new Regional Director of our Newfoundland region,” said Andreas Kvame, CEO of Grieg Seafood ASA. “Elizabeth has extensive experience in biology, salmon farming, and governmental roles in Newfoundland and Labrador. I am confident she is the right person to lead our local team in developing our Newfoundland region gradually and responsibly.”

Barlow has previously held senior management positions at Mowi Canada East and the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources in the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. She has also worked with the Miawpukek First Nation on marine and aquatic projects. Barlow holds a Graduate Diploma in aquaculture from the Marine Institute of Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science from Acadia University.
