Marine Harvest Ulvan in Norway is collaborating with Marel on a new salmon fillet processing line.

With this investment, they’ll leave two older lines and will move to the new processor from Marel, explained Project Manager at Marine Harvest Kolbjørn Jektvik in a press release.

The machinery will be ready for delivery in February 2019.

“We have great expectations for the new line. With this in place, we can drive salmon in several different sizes on the line compared with earlier, while reducing the need for crew and improving our yield,” said Jektvik.

Marine Harvest’s project manager also announced that they are familiar and comfortable with the machine as it’s used at several other Marine Harvest’s factories.
