2 Sisters Food Group, which runs the Cavaghan and Gray factory in Carlisle, North West England, has a major contract deal with M & S’s Gastropub and fish ranges as reported in Newsandstar.
The deal requires a £7m expansion of the site.
Talking to the publication, site director, William Duncanson, said: “We are extremely proud to have worked closely with M&S for many years and to have been trusted with the production of even more exciting food ranges.
“We take a huge amount of pride in delivering and creating their quality products.
“The team here at Cavaghan and Gray are enormously hard-working and this investment will allow us to continue doing what we love, producing tasty, high quality food that customers love.”
The founder and former 2 Sister CEO, Ranjit Singh Boparan (he become president of Boparan Holdings Limited, the parent company of the food giant in 2018) is worth £544 million. He also owns the Irish frozen fish brand, Donegal Catch.
