Agrosuper’s Los Fiordos buys the Friosur salmon unit.
The unit was put up for sale around six months ago. Last week it was reported that half dozen of companies competed for Friosur.
AquaChile remained the favourite to secure a deal, but Los Fiordos has swept the competition, writes La Tercera.
Friosur currently has 40 licenses in the region of Aysén, and produces around 22,000 tonnes of salmon per year.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter.
