Time lapse video: Wellboat ‘Rostein’s’ travel from the North Cape to the Western fjords

Thomas Hammeroe is the chief officer of the wellboat ‘Rostein’. This is where he filmed a timelapse video from Svaerholdt, close to the North Cape, Northern Norway, to Steinshavn, Western Norway.

With a GoPro camera attached to the wheelhouse on the wellboat, the Norwegian coast – in gray weather, sun and rain – is presented from Norway’s northernmost county to the Rostein shipping port at Harøy.

Hammeroe has a background as a shrimp fisherman in the Oslo Fjord, on business tycoon and former fisherman Kjell Inge Rokke’s shrimp boat ‘Tryg’.

“My dad and I helped build and run it. It was exciting there,” Hammeroe told iLaks.

Thomas’ father, Roger Hammeroe, is a childhood friend of Aker-owner Kjell Inge Rokke.

At the time of the filming, ‘Rostein’ was  operating in the spot market, working for Leroy, SalMar and NRS.

About the hour lapse video Hammeroe said: “There were a lot of clouds when I filmed it. I was not so happy, but afterwards I saw that it had worked well.
