15,359 tonnes up for grabs as salmon licence auction starts

Auction starts June 18. 

After years of low growth, The Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries in Norway decided to auction of salmon-farming licenses via an open online auction.

It has now been confirmed that a total of 15,359 tonnes will be available for sale during the auction, which takes place on June 18 and onwards.

The minimum price is set at EUR 12,800 per tonne.

The following capacity is available in the various production areas through the forthcoming auction:
