Salmon Evolution reports strong Q4 performance and full-year growth.
Salmon Evolution reported a Q4 2024 harvest of 1,729 tonnes HOG (head-on gutted), including 105 tonnes live weight (LW) of post-smolt, bringing the full-year harvest to 4,891 tonnes HOG.
The land-based salmon producer highlighted strong feeding performance and biomass growth, particularly in the latter half of November and December.
Q4 Operational Highlights
- Harvest Volumes: Total harvest of 1,729 tonnes HOG, including 105 tonnes LW post-smolt.
- Price Realization: Achieved an all-in price of approximately NOK 82/kg.
- Product Quality: Average harvest weight increased to ~3.8 kg (HOG), up 15% quarter-on-quarter, with 95% of the harvest graded as superior quality.
- Biomass Production: Biomass production reached 1,518 tonnes LW, the second-highest on record, marking an 11% increase from the previous quarter.
- Standing Biomass: Ended Q4 with a standing biomass of 2,023 tonnes LW.
CEO Commentary
“Salmon Evolution achieved significant milestones in 2024, with solid growth in harvest volumes and strong operational progress,” said CEO Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen. “We are particularly proud of our biological results, which set a new standard in salmon farming and provide strong momentum as we enter 2025.”
The company operates its facility on Norway’s west coast and plans further international expansion, targeting an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes HOG.
