The equity in Ole-Eirik Lerøy’s investment company Framar was almost NOK 1.1 billion (EUR 100 million) at the end of last year.
Ole-Eirik Lerøy was not unemployed for long after he left the job as CEO at Lerøy Seafood Group. For the past eleven years he has been chairman of the board of Mowi. And he has been paid handsomely for the job by main shareholder John Fredriksen.
Lerøy’s investment company Framar owns 1.5 million shares and 750,000 options in Mowi. The shareholding is valued at NOK 267 million (EUR 25.2 million), while the options have a value of NOK 134 million (EUR 12.6 million) today, writes Finansavisen.
Last year, Mowi increased 30 percent in value and dividends. This contributed to a profit of NOK 126 million (EUR 11.9 million).
Ole-Eirik Lerøy owns just under 59 per cent of the shares in Framar, while his wife Eva Løkeland Lerøy holds 27 per cent. The rest of the shares are owned by their children Marie and Ina.
At the end of last year, Framar owned shares worth NOK 615 million (EUR 58 million), while the bond portfolio was valued at just over NOK 45 million (EUR 4.2 million). The money is managed through the company Profond, which is managed by Eva Løkeland Lerøy. Former Pareto Securities broker Kjetil Sjursen is the investment director.
