Lyon has been boss of Multiexport Foods and Salmones Multiexport since 2010.
In a press release, the Chilean salmon farmer Multiexport Foods writes that from February 1, 2021, Andrés Lyon Labbé, is stepping down after ten years in the role. He will assume director and vice president roles in the company.
He will be replaced by Cristián Swett. This is part of its new strategic development plan to “enhance and strengthen the executive and management team to carry out the new challenges of the company and the salmon sector,” the company wrote.
Cristián Swett has a long history in the food industry, which began at Multiexport Foods, where he has had relevant positions as its Japan commercial assistant manager as well as managing its smoked business unit. Later he served as CEO and director of the salmon company Ventisqueros.
Swett will be leaving his current as head of the multinational dairy company Manuka.
Multiexport executive chairman José Ramón Gutiérrez welcomed Swett as the new boss: “We are very pleased that Cristián has accepted this challenge and returns to our company, where he has already developed a positive track record of more than ten years, with a vast knowledge of the sector, so we know its capabilities and are convinced that it will manage and develop the company with great success.”
