Viking Aqua has announced that they have signed another partnership agreement with AquaBioTech Group to become the company’s RAS supplier for the land-based salmon farm that is to be built in Skipavika, Norway.
“We are very excited to have been selected to join the Viking Aqua project partnership, which aims to develop one of the most sustainable land-based salmon RAS farming operations,” Shane A. Hunter, CEO of AquaBioTech Group said.
“The Viking Aqua facility we will develop and showcase how intensive, yet environmentally conscious, sustainable aquaculture can be achieved using the next generation RAS technology,” he added.
“We have established dedicated and complementary partnerships with the aim to achieve something great. But not least ensured the involvement of competent persons, with a common vision and the right values for developing and operating a fish farming company where efficient industrial processes, fish welfare and sustainability will reach new levels,” Ingar Valvik, CEO of Viking Aqua said.
Viking Aqua has previously signed a partnership agreement with Framo on the development of water and pumping technology and an agreement with Overhalla Betong on the construction of the grow-out and smolt facility.
In addition, the company has entered into an agreement on the groundworks with Magne Hope, a local contractor with over 50 years of experience in groundwork.
