Norwegian processed salmon supplier Sekkingstad has announced the appointment of Andreas Mikalsen as its new Managing Director, according to a press release from the company on Thursday.
Meanwhile, serving MD Bård Sekkinsgad will assume the role of CEO at parent company Trient.
Through Sekkingstad and sister company Skagerak, Trient processes and sells about 60,000 metric tons of salmon products per year from its factories in Norway and Denmark.
Mikalsen joins from Aquabyte, where he oversaw customer journey and HR matters. His background includes serving as the Managing Director at Mowi RNT Supply Chain & Trading, where he was responsible for the company’s global sales of whole salmon and fillets.
Bård Sekkingstad expressed his satisfaction with Mikalsen’s addition, citing his extensive experience within the sector, as well as his proven leadership skills.
