Norwegian aquaculture investment company INAQ has announced the appointment of Sondre Skjelbred Refsnes as a senior advisor in their strategic business area of Finance, effective from December 1.
At INAQ Refsnes will play a role in strategic advisory, business development, and financial services. His appointment is expected to bolster INAQ’s capabilities in assisting investors with third-party assessments of seafood-related businesses, complementing the firm’s strategic focus on technology, biology, and sustainability.
Refsnes, aged 35, hails from Åfjord in Trøndelag, Norway, and brings a wealth of experience from his background in auditing and finance management. His professional journey spans across various sectors, including real estate, aquaculture, and renewable energy. Notably, he has close familial ties to the aquaculture industry, through the family-run Refsnes Laks, and manages part of his inheritance through Revsnes Holding.
Holding a master’s degree in accounting and auditing from BI, with a focus on corporate law, IFRS, and corporate finance, Refsnes also possesses a master’s degree in financial economics from NTNU.
Before joining INAQ, Refsnes accumulated substantial experience during his four-year tenure at PWC and as a Finance Manager at the technology company Winns, where he was involved in financing and strategy development.
