The Norwegian Seafood Council has appointed Sigrid Louise G. Philippart as its new seafood envoy to France, according to an announcement made on Wednesday morning.
Philippart joins the Seafood Council from her previous role as strategy and communications manager at St1 Norway, bringing with her 14 years of experience in the energy industry. She holds a double master’s degree in international management and a bachelor’s degree in languages and social sciences, with proficiency in French.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Philippart stated, “I am very happy to have the opportunity to promote Norwegian seafood in France. I look forward to getting to know the industry, partners, and colleagues in the Norwegian Seafood Council, and to contributing to further growth in a large and important market.”
Philippart replaces Trine Horne, who served as the Seafood Council’s representative in France for the past five years. Børge Grønbech, Director of Global Operations at the Norwegian Seafood Council, commended Horne for her excellent work in advancing Norwegian seafood interests in France.
Philippart will assume her new position on 1 May, with Grønbech expressing confidence in her ability to continue the Seafood Council’s marketing efforts in France. He emphasized Philippart’s strong credentials and background, highlighting her potential to further develop one of the core markets for Norwegian seafood.
