Iceland’s leading salmon farming company Arnarlax has announced a strategic partnership with Oceans of Data, a startup specializing in AI solutions for the seafood industry.

“I’m thrilled to announce another exciting partnership for Oceans of Data,” wrote founder Anna Björk Theodórsdóttir on LinkedIn.

“This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone as we bring our cutting-edge data solutions to the forefront of the seafood industry. Our innovative Gen AI data solution, ANNA, will provide Arnarlax with advanced data analytics, enhancing their competitive edge and supporting even better, smarter, and faster decisions!”

Arnarlax will integrate Oceans of Data’s Gen AI solution, ANNA, into its operations to monitor various data points, including global supply updates, salmon growth, and health metrics. This will help optimize harvest and production times and enable real-time adjustments based on current conditions. By incorporating environmental data, Arnarlax aims to reduce risks and ensure sustainability.

The partnership will also focus on maximizing market opportunities. By analyzing salmon exports, spot prices, and Nasdaq data, Arnarlax will gain insights into market trends to identify lucrative sales opportunities and avoid oversaturation. ANNA’s predictive capabilities will allow Arnarlax to adapt its sales strategies in real-time, capitalizing on market demand shifts.

Arnarlax emphasizes that sustainability remains a core value, and data-driven insights will help manage market uncertainties and uphold responsible business practices. The ongoing collaboration with Oceans of Data will involve further development and user testing of ANNA, ensuring the solution evolves with Arnarlax’s needs.

This partnership aims to enhance Arnarlax’s efficiency in salmon farming, production, and sales, supporting its position as Iceland’s leading salmon farming company and improving its competitiveness on the global stage.
