Salmon producer Grieg Seafood has appointed Kristian B. Matthiasson as the factory manager for its upcoming processing facility at Oslo Airport City at Gardermoen.

The new plant, which represents an investment of NOK 130 million ($12 million), is expected to be operational by autumn 2025 and will have the capacity to process approximately 10,000 tons (HOG) of salmon into fillets and portions.

Grieg will establish the processing factory in a new and energy efficient facility in Oslo Airport City at Gardermoen.

Matthiasson, who has previously served as the managing director of Arnarlax and general manager of Leines Seafood, expressed his enthusiasm for joining Grieg Seafood.

“Salmon production has always been close to me, and I look forward to becoming part of the Grieg family. At the new factory in Gardermoen, we will have every opportunity to produce safe and high-quality products in a sustainable, efficient, and reliable way. There is a lot of work that remains before we receive our first fish in autumn 2025, and I am looking forward to starting this work,” he said.
