Emily de Sousa has joined the Global Seafood Alliance’s Market Development team.

The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) has announced the addition of Emily de Sousa, a Portuguese-Canadian fisheries scientist and prominent seafood influencer, to its Market Development team.

De Sousa, known for her seafood, travel, and lifestyle platform “Seaside with Emily,” will serve as GSA’s Market Development Manager for North America.

In her new role, de Sousa will work closely with producers, retailers, and food service companies to promote responsibly sourced seafood. Chris Keller of GSA welcomed de Sousa in a LinkedIn post, praising her knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience.

De Sousa also co-founded InnaSea Media, a female-led media agency specializing in creative communication for the seafood industry, earlier this year.

The GSA, headquartered in Portsmouth, N.H., is a leading non-profit trade association focused on advancing responsible seafood practices through education, advocacy, and certification programs such as Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) and Best Seafood Practices (BSP).
