Average weight of 3.3 kg HOG, represents  a 10% increase from Q2.

Norwegian land-based salmon producer Salmon Evolution reported a harvest of 680 tonnes head-on gutted (HOG) in the third quarter of 2024 and reaffirmed its guidance of approximately 2,500 tonnes HOG for the second half of the year.

This positions the company for a full-year harvest volume of around 5,000 tonnes HOG.

The company highlighted positive biomass development throughout the quarter, with improvements in daily growth rates and continued strong performance across key metrics such as feed conversion ratio, mortality, and superior grade share.

Key operational results for Q3 included:

  • 680 tonnes HOG harvested with a 98% superior grade share
  • All-in price realization of NOK 72/kg
  • Average weight of 3.3 kg HOG, representing a 10% increase from Q2
  • Standing biomass of 2,582 tonnes live weight (LW) at the end of Q3

“Biomass production is steadily improving at Indre Harøy, with a wide range of initiatives ongoing to take out the full growth potential,” said Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen, CEO of Salmon Evolution.

“The standing biomass is close to record levels going into Q4, which together with a further increase in expected harvest weights, makes us well positioned to capitalize on the expected price rebound,” he added.
