Laxey and Baader forge partnership on processing technology for Icelandic land-based facility.
Laxey a player in Iceland’s growing land-based aquaculture sector, has formalized an agreement with Baader for the delivery of advanced processing equipment at its upcoming salmon facility in Vestmannaeyjar.
The collaboration is a strategic move for both companies amid Iceland’s push for aquaculture development, particularly in land-based facilities.
“We are excited about this partnership with Baader, a leader in technological solutions for the seafood industry,” said Kristmann Kristmannsson, Laxey Project Manager for Processing and Procurement in a press release on Monday. “This agreement lays the foundation for a successful collaboration and a prosperous relationship that will help strengthen the Icelandic land-based aquaculture sector.”
Karl Ásgeirsson, Baader Iceland’s Sales Manager, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that Baader’s equipment would help LAXEY meet the stringent international quality standards required for salmon products.
