Salmon Evolution advances phase 2 construction.
Salmon Evolution has announced the commencement of tank assembly for the second phase of its flagship land-based salmon farming facility. The company, which specializes in hybrid flow-through system (HFS) technology, is on track to operationalize Phase 2 by early 2026, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.
The ongoing construction is progressing at a rapid pace, with Phase 2 set to double the company’s annual production capacity to 18,000 tonnes head-on-gutted (HOG). The enhanced facility will provide a robust platform for increased profitability and sustainable growth.
Writing on LinkedIn, CEO Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen emphasized the importance of this development, stating:
“What a great start to 2025 with the assembly of our first tank in Phase 2 starting today! Construction is proceeding according to plan and at a high pace. In fact, we are soon only a year away from taking Phase 2 into operation, which will be a real game changer for Salmon Evolution.”
