Proximar strengthens leadership in Japan with new Chief Commercial Officer.
Proximar has announced the appointment of Michinori Hoshijima as Chief Commercial Officer of Proximar Ltd., effective 15 January 2025.
Hoshijima joins Proximar with over two decades of experience in the Japanese Atlantic salmon market, having spent 23 years as Sales and Marketing Director at Mowi Japan Ltd., where he led sales and distribution efforts across the region.
Joachim Nielsen, CEO of Proximar Seafood AS, welcomed the appointment, emphasizing its strategic importance: “Mr. Hoshijima is one of the most experienced figures in the Atlantic salmon market in Japan. His deep expertise in sales and marketing will further strengthen our focus in this critical area as we ramp up harvesting in 2025.”
Proximar’s move to bolster its leadership team comes as the company prepares for significant growth in the Japanese market, a key area for its operations.
