Contract secured for Salmon Evolution’s second phase.

Nordic Steel has entered into an expanded agreement with Artec Aqua, involving the supply of 200 tons of equipment for the second phase of the Salmon Evolution facility at Indre Harøy in Møre og Romsdal.

The agreement, announced in a press release, builds on the water treatment system delivered during the first phase, with Nordic Steel set to design and produce 12 DeGasso aerators in Duplex steel, each weighing approximately 10 tons. The aerators will reduce the CO2 content in the operational water at the facility, and according to Artec Aqua, the technology will enable up to 70% of the water to be recycled.

Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel, expressed satisfaction with the renewed trust from Artec Aqua. “We believe the value we create with our experience, expertise, and specialized production for the industry is being recognized. The close and productive collaboration we’ve had over the years continues into the second phase,” said Lobekk.

Nordic Steel will also supply a complete ventilation system for the CO2 aerators, an area where the company has established itself as a leading producer in Norway. “Securing the contract for ventilation for the CO2 aerators is a significant vote of confidence. We look forward to contributing our expertise in this field as well,” Lobekk added.

Ola André Synes, regional manager for Nordic Steel in Ålesund, emphasized the importance of the right technology and equipment to meet high standards. “Knowledge of equipment and technology is essential to deliver at this level. Correct surfaces, functionality, and quality are central to everything Nordic Steel manufactures for the industry,” Synes explained.
