The first edition of SNAP, the National Fish Retailers and Seafood Trade Show, will take place on October 5–6, 2025, at the Marché d’Intérêt National in Toulouse.
Organized by SCAPP Poissonniers-Corail and OPEF, alongside national partners, the event will be the first of its kind in France, dedicated exclusively to fish retailers and seafood professionals.
Toulouse was chosen for its strategic location between France’s Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts and its role as a key food supply hub in the Occitanie region.
The show will bring together around 100 exhibitors, covering fresh seafood, shellfish, canning, equipment, logistics, transport, training, and institutional sectors. While primarily a professional trade fair, it will also be open to the public, featuring competitions, demonstrations, and a career development area.
A highlight of the event will be the French Fishmonger Ecailler Championship, where participants from across France will showcase their skills before a panel of industry experts.
The organizers aim to highlight the role of France’s 4,800 fish retail businesses and 13,200 employees, as well as the broader supply chain, which includes wholesalers and supermarket fishmongers. The event will emphasize the sector’s economic impact, local business sustainability, and contribution to food security.
More details on the competition and event program will be released in the coming weeks.
