Norwegian seafood-export star, Platina Seafood, has posted a solid year of growth for 2017, its earnings rising 69 percent year-on-year to EUR 120 million.
With just three employees, that’s earnings-per-head of EUR 40 million.
Last year’s net income of EUR 1.62 million more than doubled to EUR 5.1 million in 2017, and company operating profit expressed as a margin percentage was 4.3 percent.
Platina Seafood has long been Norway’s most profitable salmon exporter and is linked through its chairman, Andre Skarbo, to Atlantic Sapphire, the company building a giant land-based salmon grow-out facility near Miami, Florida.
