The prices have been falling since Wednesday, and the importer told Salmon Business that there is a lot of unsold fish in the market.
Exporters who talked to SalmonBusiness revealed even lower pricer than 5,3 EUR per kilo.
“Salmon between 3-6 kilo are being sold for 47-49 NOK (5-5.2 EUR)”, an exporter told Salmon Business.
“It won’t surprise me if prices fall below 50 NOK (5.3 EUR) for 3-4 kilo”, another exporter told SalmonBusiness.
Many have still not done any business. Therefore, it is difficult to determine concrete prices for the upcoming week.
However, we are witnessing a considerable price fall.
“It has been very turbulent and confusing. A lot of unsold fish affected the prices today”, a third exporter told SalmonBusiness.
