Aarskog to resign from Mowi board

Former CEO not up for board re-election.

Alf-Helge Aarskog has informed the Election Committee in Mowi that he wants to resign his deputy chair of the board postion with effect from the annual general meeting in 2021.

This was stated in the notice of the general meeting, which will be held at the company’s headquarters in Bergen, Norway, on the 9th of June.

Aarskog resigned as CEO in 2019, and had served in the chief executive role for almost ten years. He is the longest-serving Mowi boss since Thor Mowinckel.

Furthermore, the nomination committee proposed that Ole-Eirik Lerøy be re-elected as chairman of the board, and that Kristian Melhuus is elected deputy chairman of the board.

In addition, the nomination committee proposes that Nicholays Gheysen be elected as a new board member, and that Kathrine Fredriksen be elected as a personal deputy to Cecilie Fredriksen for a period of two years.
