Grieg Seafood appoints Magnus Johannesen as CFO.

Norwegian salmon producer Grieg Seafood has appointed Magnus Johannesen as its new chief financial officer, the company announced on Tuesday.

Johannesen replaces Atle Harald Sandtorv, who is stepping down after serving as CFO since 2009.

“Atle Harald has played an instrumental role in shaping Grieg Seafood for more than 15 years, having secured the financing and capital structure enabling our growth and development over this period,” said CEO Andreas Kvame.

Johannesen joined Grieg Seafood in October 2024 as global finance officer, having previously served as chief investment officer at Frydenbo Group. His experience includes roles as interim CFO at investment firm Rexir Holding and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

“Magnus has shown a strategic mindset and analytical skills that make me confident he will be a great contributor to the continued development of Grieg Seafood,” Kvame added.
