Sperre is now wholly owned by aquaculture equipment makers.
In October 2016, AKVA group acquired a 66 per cent majority share Sperre Group, a hi-tech manufacturer of ROVs (Remotely operated underwater vehicle).
AKVA group and Sperre Group agreed on a mutual option to buy/sell the remaining 34 per cent of the shares in Sperre, exercisable in a limited period after the approval of of the ROV makers 2019 annual accounts.
In a press release on Thursday, AKVA group writes that it has has exercised the option to acquire the remaining 34 per cent of the shares in Sperre for EUR 6.4 million, which is linked to the performance of Sperre in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
