London-based AI aquaculture outfit to strengthen digital strategy.

In a statement on the Oslo Stock Exchange, AKVA group writes that it has acquired 33.7 per-cent of the shares in Observe Technologies to further strengthen its digital strategy.

Observe, through a partnership with AKVA, has successfully sold and delivered their artificial intelligence (AI) feeding solutions to more than 20 farm sites in five different countries.

“With this new agreement, AKVA and Observe will continue to develop and leverage their complementary technologies and solutions using AI to partner with customers to improve fish performance,” wrote AKVA.

Observe was founded in London by Hemang Rishi and Pieter Fabry in early 2017 out of the deep tech London accelerator Entrepreneur First. According to the company, it gives “actionable insights to optimise the biggest costs on fish farms: from feeding to health”.
