AKVA Group creates Chief Commercial Officer role for Ståle Økland.
AKVA Group has appointed Ståle Økland as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Økland, who currently serves as Group Director of Communications and ESG, will take on a broader commercial role, overseeing strategic marketing and business development.
“We see great opportunities for AKVA Group going forward and will strengthen marketing efforts across business areas and countries. This requires a strong strategic focus, and Ståle will lead this work,” said CEO Knut Nesse.
Økland has been with AKVA Group for four years and has over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and politics, including roles as deputy mayor of Time municipality and senior advisor to the Norwegian Conservative Party. In his new role, he will continue to oversee communications and ESG while taking on expanded commercial responsibilities.
AKVA Group, headquartered in Klepp, Rogaland, is the world’s largest supplier of aquaculture equipment and technology, with offices in 11 countries.
