Akva Group has announced the receipt of a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) from Cermaq Chile S.A. or a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) contract related to the development of a new smolt facility in the Los Lagos Region, Chile.
The contract linked to the LOI is valued at approximately €30 million, according to a stock exchange announcement on Tuesday. Akva is expected to begin engineering and site work during the fourth quarter of 2024. The final contract is anticipated to be awarded by Cermaq in the same period.
