American Airlines resuming Santiago and Miami salmon cargo flights

Airline announces it will continue cargo route.

Fresh salmon exporters may breathe a sigh of relief as America Airlines has confirmed its cargo-only/three-times-a-week flights between Santiago and Miami will continue, reports DF.

Both the salmon and airlines industries have faced difficulties in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

American is operating its commercial flights between Santiago and Miami four times a week with a Boeing 777-200 aircraft

Furthermore, the airline said that it will continue to operate its cargo-only flights between Santiago and Miami three times a week. Since starting this operation in June, American has transported more than 925,000 kilos of cargo to the United States, with the majority of that being salmon.
