EBIT before value adjustment of biomass in Q1 2018 was USD 30.9 million. In the same period in 2017 it was USD 41.6 million.

Chile’s biggest salmon farmer reported revenue of USD 184 million, compared with USD 197 million in the same period of 2017.

Operating costs were reduced by 2 % and according to a company statement this is “due to the continuous effort that has been made to streamline operations, especially in seawater,” writes Aqua.

Total operational EBIT per kg for salmon and trout was USD 1.16.

“We have been focused on the search for greater efficiencies, which will continue to be an important objective for the future, since there are more opportunities for improvement,” Agustín Ugalde,  the CEO of AquaChile.
