Mowi-backed Icelandic salmon farmer Arctic Fish has announced that its Chief Executive, Stein Ove Tveiten, will step down, ending his seven-year tenure with the Icelandic salmon farming company.
The company’s board of directors confirmed that Tveiten informed them of his decision to resign, with plans for him to remain in post until a successor is appointed to ensure a smooth transition.
“Serving as CEO of Arctic Fish has been an incredible journey,” Tveiten said in a statement on Monday. “Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a fantastic team and witnessing rapid and substantial growth for both the company and the industry as a whole. It has been an honor to serve in this role, and I believe Arctic Fish and Iceland are uniquely positioned for continued growth and sustainable development.”
Øyvind Oaland, chairman of the board, commended Tveiten’s contributions: “Stein Ove has dedicated a lot of efforts and time into Arctic Fish and is handing over a company with solid volume development and great future growth projections. We are highly appreciative of his contribution.”
The board has commenced a search for a new CEO to lead Arctic Fish as it seeks to expand its presence in the sustainable salmon farming sector.
