Icelandic salmon producer Arnarlax has announced the appointment of Linda Gunnlaugsdóttir as its new Chief Sales Officer (CSO), effective January 9th, 2024.
Gunnlaugsdóttir brings to the role a wealth of leadership experience, with a background in the sales and logistics of fish products.
Currently serving as a board member of Fisheries Iceland (Samtök fyrirtækja í sjávarútvegi) since March 2023, since September 2022, she has also held the role of CEO at seafood supplier Bacco Sea Products, where she has worked to deliver high-quality Icelandic fish to global markets, dealing with fresh, frozen, and salted products.
Prior to joining Bacco, Gunnlaugsdóttir was with Smyril Line for close to 14 years, where she served as the Director of Smyril Line Island for eight years and was a board member for over six years.
Residing in Kópavogur, Gunnlaugsdóttir will lead the sales initiatives from Arnarlax’s office in Reykjavík. The company has expressed great enthusiasm for having Gunnlaugsdóttir join their team and is confident in her ability to drive forward their sales strategies, contributing significantly to their dynamic team and the company’s overall growth trajectory.
