The company announced the decision on September 26th.

According to Aqua, the Chilean salmon farmer has signed a contract for restructuring of financial liabilities and financing, known as a credit agreement, with Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., DNB Bank ASA and Banco Santander-Chile.

The loan agreement aims to restructure Australis’ current debt of USD 100m.

“The obligations assumed under this credit agreement are duly assured through various guarantees granted by the company as well as by the various entities that form part of its business group,” said Australis Seafoods General Manager Ricardo Misraji.
