Australis third Chilean grower to target Oslo listing: report

Chilean salmon-farmer Australis is hoping to follow in the still-setting foot prints of compatriot companies Camanchaca and AquaChile who recently listed and announced plans to list on the Oslo Stock Exchange, writes newspaper Economia y Negocios.

Australis, owned by Chilean businessman, Isidoro Moreno, is serious about the listing, the newspaper said, citing sources close to the industry.

“The company has investigated the possibility of listing in Oslo and is satisfied with what it sees, and — in contrast to other salmon farmers — its owner have no need for advice from other international companies just to discuss the possibility,” the newspaper quoted its source as saying.

That suggests Camanchaca’s successful listing and AquaChile’s listing have increased the likelihood Australis will end up a traded stock in Oslo.

Australis, however, offered no comment on the story.
