Fish-fitness group, Benchmark, has brought in Peter George, an entrepreneur and former chief executive, to be chairman of its board with immediate effect.
Retiring from the board is Alex Hambro who has helped preside over expansion and reorganization in the business.
“Peter has a strong track record in growing successful international pharmaceutical and healthcare businesses,” a statement from Benchmark Holding said.
He is most renowned for his achievements as CEO of the London-listed, Clinigen Group. He founded the global pharmaceutical and services company in 2010 and grew it to into a business with a market cap of just-about GBP 1 billion.
Expanding Cliningen internationally by acquisition augers well for Benchmark shareholders keen on growth.
