New milestone for Atlantic Sapphire in Miami.

Atlantic Sapphire founder Johan Andreassen writes on Twitter that the company is partaking in the commercial movement of salmon to the large grow out pools in the Miami Bluehouse, USA.

This is seen as the next step in Sapphire’s aim produce around 100,000 tonnes of salmon by 2026 and 233,000 tonnes by 2031 – which is almost half of current U.S. salmon consumption.

“The fish is looking amazing and happy to move into its new environment. Crystal clear and pristine water. Congrats to the team that made this huge milestone happen,” wrote Andreasson.

As of today, the company is valued at EUR 908 million (USD 1,021 million).
