The government highlights the change of fuel to gas, and other energy efficiency projects.

Aqua.cl reports the news.

In the port of San Vicente, a meeting was held between executives and professionals from Blumar and the regional secretary of the Biobío Energy Ministry, Carola Venegas.

The meeting is part of the first aggregate electricity demand pilot Blumar participated in, which allowed the company, along with 12 others in the Biobío region, to improve energy purchasing conditions in price negotiations with generators.

“After participating in the Large Consumers Bureau, promoted by Bio-energy Energy, we were able to combine the energy requirements of different companies in the area. This process, plus other parallels carried out by our Supplying Area, allowed us to access better rates, which for Blumar and its subsidiaries resulted in a reduction in costs of around 40%,” explained the Blumar’s Operations Manager Fishing, Enrique Cisterna.
