British investment company Wheatsheaf Group sells all of its shares in AKVA group

In a statement on the Oslo Stock Exchange on Thursday morning, AKVA writes that Wheatsheaf Group (previously Wheatsheaf Investments ) has sold 3.9 million shares in the aquaculture equipment supplier.

It was not specified what price the shares were been sold at, but AKVA group was last trading at NOK 72.60. This implies a value of EUR 26 million.

Chester-based Wheatsheaf Group invests in businesses in the food and agriculture sectors and is engaged in partnerships across 34 countries. Wheatsheaf Executive Director Anthony James stepped down from AKVA group’s board in October.

On Thursday morning, AKVA group’s share price was down 2.71 per-cent on Oslo Stock Exchange.
