Cermaq appoints new CFO and CTO

Ole Martin Grimsrud is appointed new CFO and Erlend Reiten will take up a new position as Chief Transformation Officer.

In a press release, the Mitsubishi-owned salmon farmer Cermaq writes that it is expanding its management team.

Formerly with the engineering firm Aker Solutions, Ole Martin Grimsrud is appointed as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will take up the position from 1 September.

“Aquaculture is an attractive and growing industry being essential to our future. I look forward to joining a world leading company as Cermaq and contribute to Cermaq’s development and successes,” said Grimsrud.

Current acting CFO Erlend Reiten, will, from 1 September, take up a new position in the executive team as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). Prior to joining Cermaq in 2016 he spent five years at The Boston Consulting Group.

“We want to be at the forefront when it comes to operational standards and application of new technology. The CTO will hold responsibility for establishing and developing best practice sharing and the ability to continuously improve across the company. Erlend have during his time in Cermaq worked closely with the executive team and I’m confident that his experience and motivation will be a key driver towards reaching our strategic ambitions,” added Geir Molvik.
