Cermaq Chile announces new executive role supply chain manager

Joachim Wessel will be maximising the return of raw material for the entire company.

In a press release, Cermaq Chile reports that Joachim Wessel will assume the position of Supply Chain Manager. He will begin on March 2.

Wessel will be responsible for the value chain from the storage cages to the process area, supporting the logistics and product allocation area to the final market. In this, he will work closely with the production and sales areas, with the task of maximising the return of raw material for the entire company.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and has a Master of Science (MSc) in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management from the University of Stirling, Scotland. He has worked for 30 years in different management positions in companies in the salmon industry.

“In this, he will work closely with the production and sales areas, with the task of maximizing the return of the raw material for the entire company,” said the CEO of Cermaq Chile, Steven Rafferty. “We welcome Joachim and wish him the greatest success at this beginning stage,” he added.
