From Monday, April 4, Álvaro Poblete Smith will assume the position of Production Manager at salmon producer Cermaq Chile.
The new appointment worked at Chilean salmon farmer, Salmones Camanchaca, for more than 15 years and for the last six years he led the regional management team. He held the position of Production Manager at the company, between 2000 and 2005.
Smith originally trained as a civil engineer at the University of Chile and has more than 20 years of experience in the salmon farming industry.
“I am pleased to announce that Alvaro Poblete will be joining our company from April. He has has an extensive knowledge of the industry and production areas. His appointment will allow us to continue building on our recent good results and will undoubtedly be a great contribution to the team,” said Pedro Courard, Managing Director of Cermaq Chile.
