Chile’s Fiscalía Nacional Económica (FNE) has given its approval for the $229 million acquisition.
The National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE) decided to approve Agrosuper’s purchase of Friosur without any conditions according to latercera.
Friosur’s assets have been valued at $229 million (€199 million), and consist of one fish farm, 12 farming sites, 40 concessions.
In June, AquaChile, signed a deal to acquire Salmones Magallanes and Pesquera Eden for $255 million, giving them a foothold in the southern Magallanes region of the country. Then in August, the Chilean food processor, Agrosuper, acquired 100% of shares in AquaChile for $850 million.
