In a press release, AKVA group Land Based, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AKVA group, writes that it has entered into a co-operation agreement with Cooke Aquaculture with the potential for delivering several larger land-based smolt projects.
The first of these projects is a project in Chile with expected finalization of the contract in Q3 2019.
The deliveries for the Chilean project is estimated to be from Q4 2019 to Q4 2021.
The value of the contract is not known.
In February, Kelly Cove Salmon, a subsidiary of Cooke Aquaculture, announced that it was in the early stages of planning a RAS post-smolt facility in New Brunswick, Canada.
