Underwater Contracting (UCO), an Aberdeen-based provider of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), has announced a significant expansion of its ROV fleet, enabled by a strengthened partnership with global salmon farming giant Mowi.
The new agreement will see a 40% increase in the number of ROVs supplied to Mowi, raising the total to over 25 units and equating to more than 40,000 ROV days.

UCO, which has seen consistent year-on-year growth since its founding in 2017, now operates over 60,000 ROV days annually at sites worldwide. The next phase of its partnership with Mowi will include further enhancements to ROV systems, including the deployment of UCO’s NetFix System and new tooling ranges designed to improve underwater efficiency.
Mowi, the world’s largest salmon farming company, has been a partner of UCO since 2018. As part of this expanded collaboration, Mowi will increase its ROV usage to a record high, reflecting the growing importance of ROV technology in maintaining fish welfare and operational sustainability across its global sites.
The expanded fleet and continued technological development underscore UCO’s commitment to driving innovation in subsea operations while supporting the aquaculture industry’s needs for sustainable, efficient solutions.
