Dutch fund manager buys 5% of Bakkafrost

Splurging over EUR 82.8 million for salmon from the Faroe Islands

NN Group, headquartered in Den Hague, announced Tuesday that they’ve bought 5.1 percent of Faroese salmon farmer, Bakkafrost.

The note to investors said nothing of the sums involved, but based on today’s latest trade in Bakkafrost the block of 2.5 million shares ought to cost EUR 82.8 million.

NN Group manage insurance and capital in 18 countries. The 170-year-old company employs over 15,000 staff.

Bakkafrost has scheduled its full-year 2017 earnings call for Feb. 20th, 2018.
