Hilde R. Storhaug has been appointed as the Norway Director for WellFish Tech, a company specializing in innovative aquaculture health management solutions.
Based in Bergen, Storhaug will lead WellFish’s efforts to expand its presence in the Norwegian market, which the company identifies as a key area for its growth and impact.
Storhaug brings extensive experience in the aquaculture sector, including leadership roles at Norcod, where she served as CSO and CEO, and analyst work at Kontali Analyse. Her new role will focus on advancing WellFish’s sustainable health management technologies within Norway’s aquaculture industry.
In a statement shared on social media, Storhaug emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in promoting sustainability and tackling industry challenges.
“We aim to bring WellFish’s groundbreaking solutions to the forefront of the aquaculture industry,” she said.
WellFish Tech, with operations in Norway and Canada, specializes in analyzing biomarkers in farmed fish. This approach allows producers to monitor fish health continuously rather than relying on intermittent disease diagnoses. The data generated also supports improvements in fillet quality, optimizes feeding efficiency, and aids in harvest planning.
